About
For nearly three decades, Heritage Restorations has been carefully dismantling 18th- and 19th-century barns across the East Coast and giving them a second life as breathtaking timber-frame homes, guest houses, and wedding venues on ranches throughout the West. Each hand-hewn beam, each peg-and-mortise joint, carries the fingerprints of the craftsmen who shaped it generations ago — and now becomes the soul of a home built to last another two centuries.
Founded by Kevin Durkin and now led by co-owner Caleb Tittley, the Heritage team reviews 400 to 500 historic structures each year and acquires only about ten percent — the ones whose bones can be honored, preserved, and reborn. Every barn is taken down piece by piece, every timber labeled, and shipped to one of two restoration campuses: their flagship yard in Waco, Texas, or their Montana location in Big Timber. There, master craftsmen restore each frame before it’s delivered and re-raised at your chosen site, paired with modern, energy-efficient design.
What you get is something money truly can’t replicate — a 200-year-old Dutch barn from the Hudson Valley reimagined as a Texas ranch home, or a hand-hewn Pennsylvania frame transformed into a Montana fishing lodge. The drama of soaring lofts, the warmth of timeworn wood, the quiet authority of beams that have already weathered centuries. For the ranch owner who wants their home to feel like it belongs to the land — and to time itself — Heritage Restorations is in a category of one.
